I’m back! And done with traveling for awhile, which makes me super happy! I love to travel but only when I can enjoy the city I am visiting. For the last 3.5 weeks, I have been just visiting cities for 2-3 days, spending most of my time on campuses, and then leaving. So stoked to sleep in my own bed and have some home-cooked meals.
Speaking of, I made this skillet lasagna tonight and it was delicious. I love lasagna but hate layering. This was easy and tasted just like lasagna. Recommended!
It’s snowing here. Or raining. Or some sort of precipitation is falling from the sky, and it’s super cold and it’s awful! I’m not a winter person. I need it to be over now. The only good thing about winter is hat-making. Which lead me to this…
This was after I “shoveled” our sidewalks with a dustpan because we didn’t have a shovel.
I have been totally digging the gray/yellow trend, and I decided to make a hat to showcase these colors! The hat is super comfortable and best of all… warm! I used the frontpost double crochet stitch to create 4 cables in equal distance from each other around the hat, then added a yellow stripe toward the end. If you aren’t familiar with the fpdc stitch, there’s a tutorial here. It’s fairly simple to learn, and you’ll be able to do a lot more things with your crochet once you learn it.
Enough of me… here is the pattern:
