Wow! A lot has happened since I last posted. The main thing being that Michael and I moved halfway across the country to North Carolina so that I can go to graduate school!
Our new home
It has been a bit of an adjustment but we are settling in nicely now. Our backyard was in need of some MAJOR love when we moved in. We’ve made quite a lot of progress with just a little time and a small amount of money, so I’ll be showing that soon.
RIGHT after we moved and before I started school, we went to Myrtle Beach with my mom and step-dad. We hadn’t been to the beach in a long time, so it was great to see the sand again! James had a lot of firsts… first time in the car for 7 hours, first time in a hotel, first time at the beach, first time in the ocean.
He liked the hotel. He did NOT like the ocean. Haha, he was absolutely terrified.
Help me, Mom!
It was a bit cold, rainy, and cloudy the whole time we were there but it was still good to get away and relax.
I hadn’t crocheted much in the last month or so since I’ve been busy packing, moving, and attempting to get ready for school. Now that I’m settled in more, I’ve started on a few more projects. I made a few things for my sister’s friends’ new bundles of joy, although I’m not sure if she has given them to her yet so those will have to wait for later! I’m also now working on this blanket:
It’s nearly finished and then it will be up in the shop!
