Strawberry hat – crochet

I found this pattern from Little Birdie Secrets (who has the CUTEST patterns on her website. Go check it out!) and I couldn’t wait to make it. Number one, because it was so darn cute. And number two, because I had never made a hat not working in the round. I’m always up for learning something new.

This took me quite a bit of time more than a regular hat, mainly because I wasn’t really sure what I was doing and how it was going to work out. I had originally intended it to be for a 6-12 month old but someone it ended up being WAY bigger and it fit me! Not sure what I did wrong… maybe I shouldn’t try to watch two baseball games while counting rows. 😉

I am off to make another hat and finish the Orca whale for Chrissie.

By the way… Happy 1st Birthday, James!!

I baked him some banana cupcakes and he got a big ‘ol cupcake toy, which he destroyed in less than one hour. That’s my boy!
